Green Coffee & Chlorogenic Acid

Green coffee bean extract standardised for chlorogenic acid, in decaffeinated and standard grades, plus high-purity natural caffeine.

Coffea robusta · Green (unroasted) bean

Green Coffee & Chlorogenic Acid

Chlorogenic-acid-rich green coffee extracts and natural caffeine — backward-integrated to the group's own Robusta estate.

Green coffee bean extract is one of CTA's most strategically integrated products. The unroasted bean of Coffea robusta is rich in chlorogenic acids (CGA), and CTA extracts and standardises this to 45–50% CGA by HPLC, with grades available at both standard and reduced caffeine levels.

CTA's green coffee programme runs end-to-end: an optimised extraction protocol, a resin-adsorption purification route for high-CGA grades, and recovery of natural caffeine at up to 98% purity as a co-product. Critically, Robusta coffee is the primary crop of the group's own Rawther Plantations estate — making green coffee a genuinely backward-integrated, traceable product line.

Our Process Depth

Why this is a CTA speciality

CTA operates a full green-coffee process chain, documented from optimisation through purification:

  • Optimised CGA extraction protocol from green Robusta beans
  • Resin-adsorption route for high-chlorogenic-acid grades
  • Decaffeination to produce CGA-rich, low-caffeine extract
  • Green coffee liquid concentrate (purified-fraction grade)
  • Natural caffeine recovery and purification to 98%
  • Coffee husk valorisation as a co-product stream

A documented process library is what separates a speciality product from a commodity — it makes grades reproducible and lets CTA develop a custom specification with confidence.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Our standard green coffee extract is standardised to 45–50% chlorogenic acids by HPLC. Higher-purity grades are produced via a resin-adsorption route, and custom CGA-to-caffeine ratios can be developed.

Yes. CTA produces a CGA-rich decaffeinated grade with caffeine reduced below 5%, suitable for caffeine-free metabolic formulations.

Robusta coffee is the primary crop of the group's own Rawther Plantations estate, making green coffee extract a traceable, backward-integrated product line.
